ProductivIT's Commitment to Privacy and Security
ProductivIT.com has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to your privacy. Our aim is to provide the highest level of service while respecting and protecting our user's privacy. ProductivIT.com and the ProductivIT software agent will only request and collect information that is necessary to properly diagnose a software bug. ProductivIT will never disclose information submitted or data collected by our users to any third party without the express consent of the user except when required by law or court order to do so.

Information Collected During Registration
In order to use the ProductivIT Software agent we require that you provide us with a valid email address. This address will only be used to contact you with important information regarding your ongoing ProductivIT incident reports and news relating to the ProductivIT software agent and web site. Your email address will also be made available to your software vendor's support desk. Affiliated software vendors agree to use your email address for support purposes only and further agree that they will not distribute your email address to any third parties.

Information Collected By the ProductivIT Agent
One of the ProductivIT software agents greatest strengths is its ability to quickly and efficiently collect a large amount of system information and present it in a way that aids software support desks in resolving your software problems.

ProductivIT captures application specific information in its default configuration. Profiles can be created for each application to specify exactly the data to collect. The collectors that are currently supplied with ProductivIT gather the following:

  • Process information
  • DLL/EXE version information
  • Device information
  • Registry information (usually customized for an individual application)
  • Windows NT event log
  • System information
  • Screenshot of desktop at time of crash

The ProductivIT Agent takes great care not to capture any information that is not vital to the support process. ProductivIT will never knowingly gather personal data from your computer.

The only instance in which personal data might be collected is in the desktop screenshot. If you have personal or sensitive information displayed on your computer when ProductivIT is activated it may be captured in the desktop screenshot, a potentially useful image file used by your software vendor's support desk to help identify and diagnose support issues. If you would rather not have this screen shot sent, you should select the Suppress screen shot option from the ProductivIT send report menu. You can also delete any previously sent screenshots from your personal data page on the ProductivIT.com web site. The data you send will be made available only to your software vendor (manufacturer of the software that crashed) and to ProductivIT.

Affiliated Support Partners and Third Party Websites
ProductivIT is partnering with many software vendors in order to provide our users with comprehensive, high quality support solutions. Each software vendor is required to agree to the Partner Privacy Policy which states that information gathered by ProductivIT and the ProductivIT software Agent may only be used for problem resolution purposes. Personal information, such as your name and email address, is never to be released to any third party without the user's explicit permission.

The ProductivIT.com web site contains links to other third party web sites. ProductivIT.com is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such web sites.
